Description
Flagellin Recombinant Protein
Product Name Alternative
FliC
UniProt
P80370
Tag
His Tag
Source
E. coli
Concentration
0.1mg/ml after reconstitution.
Purity
>95% (SDS-PAGE) . Endotoxin level is less than 0.01EU/ μg purified protein (LAL test; Lonza) .
Bioactivity
Activation of TLR5 in human epithelial cell assays based on NF-kappaB luciferase fusions, in vivo on expression of CCL20 or IL-6. TLR5 can be stimulated in vitro by Flagellin (rec.) at concentration range of 5-50ng/ml and in vivo at a starting concentration of 0.1-1ug/mouse. Inflammasome NLRC4 can be activated at a concentration range of 1-5 ug/ml on bone-marrow macrophages in the presence of streptolysin O (SLO), a protein that allows delivery of exogenous molecules into the cytosol of living cells.
Form
Lyophilized
Storage Conditions
Stable for at least 6 months after receipt when stored at -20°C.
Notes
For research use only.
Applications Notes
This recombinant proteins is for research use only.
NCBI Accession Number
P06179
Preservative
Contains PBS. Reconstitute with 100 μl sterile water.
AA Sequence
The native flagellin [FliC] from Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium strain ATCC14028 (aa 1-495) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag.
