In the peripheral nervous system it isexpressed in many cranial ganglia the ophthalmic nerve thevestibular system multiple facial structures the submaxillaryglands and dorsal root ganglia. Isoform TrkB-T1 is mainlyexpressed in the brain but also detected in other tissuesincluding pancreas kidney and heart. Isoform TrkB-T-Shc ispredominantly expressed in the brain.
