Description
Cercosporamide is a potent inhibitor of MAP-kinase interacting kinases (Mnk1 and Mnk2), and JAK3 (IC₅₀ values are 115, 11, and 31 nM for Mnk1, Mnk2 and JAK3, respectively). Also inhibits Pkc1. Blocks eIF4E phosphorylation; exhibits antiproliferative and proapoptotic activity in cancer cells in vitro.
