Cell-permeable. Potent MDM2 (murine double minute 2) inhibitor (Ki = 120 nM) that disrupts MDM2-p53 interaction and activates p53 in cancer cells. Induces p21, p53 and MDM2 accumulation in human colon cancer cells in vitro.
