Physical form descriptionrh-Sirtuin 2 (SIRT2) with the native N-terminus is supplied as a liquid of 2 mg/ml in 25 mM Tris, pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 3 mM MgCl2, 10 % glycerol.
-
Background InformationHuman sirtuins function as intracellular regulatory proteins. Sirtuin 2 is a member of the class III histone deacetylases (HDACs) and has been implicated in many cellular processes that include histone deacetylation, gene silencing, chromosomal stability, and aging. The enzymatic activity of class III HDACs is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (0.1mM NAD+) dependent and insensitive to HDAC inhibitor trichostatin A.

UsageFor Research Use Only! Not to be used in humans
-
PropertiesHuman proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
