DescriptionDihydroorotate dehydrogenase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DHODH gene on chromosome 16. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the fourth enzymatic step, the ubiquinone-mediated oxidation of dihydroorotate to orotate, in de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis. This protein is a mitochondrial protein located on the outer surface of the inner mitochondrial membrane.
-
ImmunogenAmino acids 132-173 (RVFRLPEDQAVINRYGFNSHGLSVVEHRLRARQQKQAKLTED) from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the DHODH antibody.
-
StorageAfter reconstitution, the DHODH antibody may be kept for up to one month refrigerated at +4 degrees C.For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
