• Description
  CD47, also known as IAP or MER6, is a transmembrane protein that in humans is encoded by the CD47 gene. The protein belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and is involved in the increase in intracellular calcium concentration that occurs upon cell adhesion to extracellular matrix. It is also a receptor for the C-terminal cell binding domain of thrombospondin, and it may play a role in membrane transport and signal transduction. CD47 has broad tissue distribution, and is reduced in expression on Rh erythrocytes.
• Immunogen
  An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Cluster of Differentiation 47 (EPLNAFKESKGMMNDE) was used as the immunogen for this CD47 antibody (100% rat homology).
• Storage
  After reconstitution, the CD47 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20 deg. Celcius or lower. Cycles of freezing and thawing can denaturate the peptide chains of the antibodies and reduce their sensitivity and/or change their affinity. Prepare aliqotes in such a manner so that freeze-thaw cycles are minimized. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
