Description
cell adhesion molecules play a role in cell growth and activation and are often identified by WB or ELISA as in the Vascular Adhesion Molecule-1 (VCAM-1FRAG) ( Blot Control). For cells, cell lines and tissues in culture till half confluency. Isotype or positive controls by peptides, antibodies and deactivated samples. Whole adhesion and interacting molecules are present in lysates used as reference for ELISA quantification of these molecules and their subunits.
-
Test
Western Blot can be performed on tissues and cell extracts to determine the proteins present in your sample after PAGE electrophoresis and transfer on PVDF or Nitrocellulose. PVDF is more advised. The best detection method is using enhanced chemiluminescence or ECL.

Isotype
Antibody fragments and scFv fragments, single chain variable fragments can be E. coli expressed. Fragment peptides for polyclonals give monoclonal like antibodies as the epitope is very small. IgG Fc and(ab)2 fragments are small and stable subunits of the antibody obtained by enzymatic digestion. Complement fragments, bp DNA fragments are common.
