Specificity
Recognizes the acetylated N-terminal of 14-3-3 epsilon. It is a member of the 14-3-3 family which consists of 30 kD proteins that are involved in multiple protein kinase signalling pathways, regulation of cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal structure, transcription, intracellular trafficking and targeting. Protein interactions with 14-3-3 show distinct preference for its different isoforms and are regulated by phosphorylation of both 14-3-3 and the bound protein. 14-3-3 epsilon is expressed in all mammals. It is deleted in small cell lung cancers disrupting the G(2) checkpoint. During apoptosis, cleavage of 14-3-3 protein by caspase-3 increases the affinity between bad and Bcl-x(L). When bound by ERK, 14-3-3 epsilon is thought to deactivate heat shock factor 1 in cells recovering from heat shock. It is also a potential suicide susceptibility gene. May not react with recombinant proteins that are not N-acetylated.

About
Immunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures. Polyclonals can be used for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on frozen slices or parrafin fixed tissues. The advantage is that there are more epitopes available in a polyclonal antiserum to detect the proteins than in monoclonal sera. Rabbits are used for polyclonal antibody production by MyBioSource. Rabbit antibodies are very stable and can be stored for several days at room temperature. MyBioSource adds sodium azide and glycerol to enhance the stability of the rabbit polyclonal antibodies. Anti-human, anti mouse antibodies to highly immunogenic selected peptide sequences are" monoclonal like" since the epitope to which they are directed is less than 35 amino acids long.

Technique
Polyclonal, Rabbit, IgG, IgGs, Polyclonal antibodies (pAbs) are mostly rabbit or goat antibodies that are secreted by different B cells, whereas monoclonal antibodies come from a single N cell lineage. Pabs are a collection of immunoglobulin molecules that react against a specific antigen, each identifying a different epitope.

Species
Sheep, The sheep (Ovis aries) ELISAs are detecting sheep proteins and antigens. Some epitopes will also recognize goat proteins. Sheep and goats are also used to produce polyclonals. An adult female sheep is referred to as a ewe a male as a ram, a castrated male as a wether, and a younger sheep as a lamb. Sheeps
