-
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide, 1% BSA, 5% sucrose. Labeled with R. Phycoerythrin (RPE). Reconstitute with 1ml sterile distilled water.
-
Storage_stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C. Reconstitute by adding sterile ddH2O. Aliquot and store at 4 degree C. DO NOT FREEZE! Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Description
Isotype or positive controls by peptides, antibodies and deactivated samples. Negative control peptides or isotypes available of the different species.

About
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.

Concept
Scope note:
The technique of washing tissue specimens with a concentrated solution of a heavy metal salt and letting it dry. The specimen will be covered with a very thin layer of the metal salt, being excluded in areas where an adsorbed macromolecule is present. The macromolecules allow electrons from the beam of an electron microscope to pass much more readily than the heavy metal; thus, a reversed or negative image of the molecule is created.
