SpecificityGAP-43 phosphoSer41. The labeling of the GAP-43 protein (48Kda) in Western blots of rat brain is blocked by the phosphopeptide but not by the dephosphopeptide. An additional higher molecular weight band (70kDa) is present in Western blots of rat brain. This band is also detected by a pan GAP-43 monoclonal antibody. Species Crossreactivity: Rat. Other species have not been tested.
-
PurityAffinity Purified Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
-
FormSupplied as a liquid in 10 mM Hepes (pH 7.5), 150 mM sodium chloride with 100ug/ml and 50% glycerol.
-
Storage_stabilityMay be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (30-50%). Freeze at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
-
Tested_applicationWestern Blot (WB)
-
DescriptionAssociated membrane protein types are lipopolysaccharide selective barriers. Biological membranes include cell membranes, outer coverings of cells or organelles that allow passage of certain proteins and nuclear membranes, which cover a cell nucleus; and tissue membranes, such as mucosae and serosae.
