Host organismMouse (Mus musculus)
-
Species reactivityDog, Hamster, Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus), Rat (Rattus norvegicus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
-
Specificity and cross reactivityIdentifies recombinant rat syntaxin 13 and will detect an ~38 kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of syntaxin 13 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots, in samples from mouse, rat, dog and hamster origins. Additional bands of 27 and 37 kD may also be recognized in these lysates, and are believed to correspond to degradation products of syntaxin 13.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
-
Purification methodProtein G Purified
-
Form AppearancePBS, 0.09% azide in 50% glycerol. Sourced in Ascites.
-
Concentration1 miligram per 1 mililiter

Storage and shippingFor long term storage, keep the antibody at -20 degrees Celsius. Short term storage of the antibody can be done at +4 degrees Celsius. Cycles of freezing/defrosting can damage the peptide chains of the antibodies thus reducing the activity.
-
Tested applicationsImmunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB)
-
PropertiesIf you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

AboutImmunoglobulin gamma, IgG, mouse monoclonal H&L chain clones or rabbit, goat polyclonal antibodies have 4 parts. There are 2 heavy chains, 2 light chains. The IgG antibody has 2 antigen binding sites. They represent 70% or more of serum antibodies. This antibody can be antigen purified or protein A or G purified. For storage sodium azide is added or you can call us to request azide free antibody preparations. These will need colder storage temperatures. Monoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes. Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
-
TestMouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
