This antibody reacts with:
Affinity purified rabbit IgG
Human Lactoferrin (Cat. No. 7550)
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use
Form of antibody:
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Target of this antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
In PBS pH 7.2, 0.01 % BSA, 0.03 % ProClin® and 50 % glycerol
Alternative names of antibody target:
Growth-inhibiting protein 12, Talalactoferrin, Lactotransferrin
WB: 1-4 µg
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
Clonality of antibody:
Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein present in exocrine secretions and in the secondary granules of polymorphonuclear neutrophils. It is the iron binding protein in milk. Lactoferrin is known to regulate intestinal iron absorption, and to participate in the defense against bacteria.
Concentration of antibody:
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by biovision antibodies-kits-proteins they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Scope note:Identification of proteins or peptides that have been electrophoretically separated by blot transferring from the electrophoresis gel to strips of nitrocellulose paper, followed by labeling with antibody probes.
