SpecificityThe antibody TB28-2 recognizes human Ig kappa light chains of both secreted and cell surface immunoglobulin. It detects also free kappa light chains.
-
Research areaImmunoglobulins (Human)
-
Storage bufferThe reagent is provided in stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution containing 15mM sodium azide.
-
Shipping and storageMouse Monoclonal Antibody against Human Kappa light chains, Clone: TB28-2 is transported on blue ice/ice packs and should be stored at temperatures between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius. Do not freeze! Avoid exposing the product to direct light, especially the conjugated antibodies as most conjugates are very sentitive to light.
-
BackgroundImmunoglobulin classes share the same basic four polypeptide chain structure of two heavy chains (five heavy chains types) and two light chains (kappa, lambda; both having a molecular weight of 22.5kDa). Kappa and lambda consist of a variable region and a constant region and can easily be differentiated by the antigenic properties of the constant region. The ratio of kappa to lambda is 70:30.

AboutMonoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes.
