    NT-3 is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human NT-3 is a dimer, formed by two identical 119 amino acid subunits, which is held together by strong hydrophobic interactions. The molecular mass is 13.6 kDa.
