  • Host organism
    Mouse (Mus musculus)
  • Source organism
    Rat (Rattus norvegicus)
  • Species reactivity
Rat (Rattus norvegicus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
  • Specificity and cross reactivity
Recognizes a monomorphic determinant of the rat Ia antigen present on B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, some macrophages and certain epithelial cells (2, 3 and 4). The antibody cross-reacts with certain mouse strains (MHC haplotypes k and s) and analysis of recombinant strains showed that the determinants mapped to the I-A region of the mouse MHC (1,2). Species Crossreactivity: Does not recognize BDIX rat strain (5.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
  • Purification method
    Purified IgG.
  • Form Appearance
Purified IgG conjugated to Biotin - lyophilized in PBS with 1% BSA. The addition of 0.1% Sodium azide is recommended after reconstitution. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O.
  • Concentration
    N/A
  • Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at -20 degrees Celsius.
  • Tested applications
    Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
  • Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C. Biotin conjugates can be detected by horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase substrates or anti biotin conjugated antibodies. Avidin and Streptavidin bind to the small biotin and are couple to HRP or AP for ELISA. To break the streptavidin Biotin bond we suggest to use a 6 molar guanidine HCl solution with acidity of pH 1.6.
