Description
The Liter or liter is a metric system unit of volume equal to 1 cubic decimeter (dm3), 1,000 cubic centimeters (cm3) or 1/1,000 cubic meter. A cubic decimeter (or liter) occupies a volume of 10×10×10 centimeters (see figure) and is thus equal to one-thousandth of a cubic meter. Water baths of various volumes are available for lab research. Titration kits and plates are known as titrimetric of quantitative chemical analysis. Volume measurements play a key role in titration, it is also known as volumetric analysis. A reagent, called the titrant or titrator is prepared as a standard solution. A known concentration and volume of titrant reacts with a solution of analyte or titrand to determine concentration. The volume of titrant reacted is called titration volume.
