Gene infoIKK epsilon Antibody: Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kB mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli. NF-kB is associated with IkB proteins in the cell cytoplasm, which inhibit NF-kB activity. IkB is phosphorylated by IkB kinase (IKK) complex that contains IKKa;, IKKβ, and IKKγ. A novel molecule in the IKK complex was recently identified and designated IKKε/IKK-i. IKK epsilon is required for the activation of NF-kB by PMA and T cell receptors but not by TNFa; and IL-1. IKKε/IKK-i message is expressed in a variety of tissues and is inducible by TNFa;, IL-1, and LPS.

Immuno applicationELISA, Western Blot, immuno-histo-chemistry
-
Antibody adviceIKK epsilon antibody can be used for detection of IKK epsilon by Western blot at 1 ug/mL. An 80 kDa band should be detected. Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 10 ug/mL.
-
Suspention pH azideIKK epsilon Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
-
Keep atIKK epsilon antibody can be stored at 4 grades C for three months and -20 grades C, stable for up to one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
