The AICDA(Activation-induced cytidine deaminase)is a RNA-editing deaminase involved in somatic hypermutation,gene conversion, and class-switch recombination. It is required for several crucial steps of B-cell terminal differentiation necessaryfor efficient antibody responses. It belongs to the cytidine and deoxycytidylate deaminases family.
