Recombinant Human WISP3
- Description: WNT1-inducible-signaling pathway protein 3 (WISP3) is a member of the CCN family of cysteine-rich, glycosylated signalling proteins that mediate several developmental processes, and a member of the WNT1 inducible signalling pathway (WISP) subfamily. Members of this family are characterized by four conserved cysteine-rich domains: insulin-like growth factor-binding domain (IGFBP), von Willebrand factor type C (VWFC) domain, thrombospondin type-1 repeat (TSP type-1) domain, and C-terminal cystine knot-like (CTCK) domain. WISP3 is expressed in mature and fetal kidneys, testis, and in lower levels in the ovary, placenta, prostate, and small intestine. It is necessary for the growth of postnatal skeleton and cartilage homeostasis.
