Recombinant Human LEC (CCL16)
Description:
CCL16 is a CC chemokine that specifically attracts lymphocytes, dendritic cells, and monocytes; increases their adhesive properties and has myelosuppressive activity. It is constitutively expressed in liver and is increased by interleukin 10 (IL-10) in activated monocytes. CCL16 is present in human plasma suggesting that it may be active outside hepatic tissue. CCR1, CCR2, CCR5, and CCR8 are the functional receptors of this chemokine.Gene Name:

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGESolubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in sterile distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 2.0-40 ng/mL.Molecular Weight:

Ambient TemperatureStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
