Recombinant Human IL28A
Description:
Interferon lambda-2, also known as Interleukin 28A, is an antiviral cytokine with immunomodulatory activity and is distantly related to the IL-10 family and type I interferons. IL28A along with IL29 and IL28B, are three closely related cytokines that form a cytokine gene cluster that use a distinct receptor system which induces antiviral defence signals. IL28A interacts with a heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor ligand and leads to the activation of the JAK/STAT signalling pathway, which ultimately leads to IFN-stimulated gene (ISG) and MHC class I antigen expression. It also plays a key role in antiviral defence in Toll-like receptors (TLR) and intestinal epithelia.Gene Name:

A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
The ED50 is 10.0-50.0 ng/mL as determined by an anti-viral assay (using human hepatocellular carcinoma cells infected with EMC virus)Molecular Weight:

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
