Recombinant Human IL1RN
Description:
IL1RN is found in the conditioned medium of a variety of cells and is produced by macrophages, monocytes, and neutrophils. The soluble form of IL1RN has been shown to be produced by hepatocytes and to be regulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines. It may help in the treatment of sepsis, cachexia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic myelogenous leukemia, asthma, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease.Gene Name:
IL1RNGene Aliases:
IRAP, ICIL-1RA, IL1 inhibitor, IL1F3, IL-1ra, IL-1RN
Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL1RN)Gene ID:

P18510Organism:
HumanSource:
E. coliConcentration:
<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.Purity:
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGESolubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
The ED50 was determined by the ability to inhibit the IL-1 alpha mediated cell proliferation in a murine helper T cell line, for this effect, in the presence of 50 pg/mL of IL-1 alpha, is typically 20-60 ng/mLMolecular Weight:

Ambient TemperatureStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
