Recombinant Human GDNF
Description:
GDNF is a disulfide-linked, homodimeric neurotrophic factor that belongs to the cystine-knot family of growth factors. Natively glycosylated, GDNF signals through a multi-component receptor system that comprises of a RET and one of the four GFRα receptors. In embryonic midbrain cultures, GDNF promotes the survival and morphological differentiation of dopaminergic neurons and increases their high-affinity dopamine uptake. Mature rat and human GDNF exhibit approximately 93% amino acid sequence identity and show considerable species cross-reactivity Recombinant Human GDNF is a non-glycosylated, disulfide-linked homodimer (30 kDa) consisting of 135 amino acids in each subunit.Gene Name:

A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
The ED50 as determined by the proliferation of rat C6 cells was found to be <0.1 ng/mLMolecular Weight:

Ambient TemperatureStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
