Recombinant Human AIMP1
Description:
EMAP-II is activated during apoptosis by cleavage of pro-EMAP through caspase 8 and enhances the recruitment of inflammatory cells by its chemotactic properties. Besides its chemotactic effect on inflammatory cells, EMAP-II increases the adhesiveness of coronary artery smooth muscle cells (CASMC) for monocytes. EMAP-II also has anti-angiogenic properties, which are explained by its pro-apoptotic effect on endothelial cells.Gene Name:
AIMP1Gene Aliases:
EMAP II, EMAP-2, Aminoacyl tRNA synthase complex-interacting multifunctional protein 1, Multisynthase complex auxiliary component p43, Small inducible cytokine subfamily E member 1, SCYE1

<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.Purity:
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGESolubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.Function:
The ED(50) was determined by apoptotic effect on MCF-7 cells using a concentration of 10-50 ng/mL.Molecular Weight:

Ambient TemperatureStorage Conditions:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.Appearance:
