Description
Rabbit polyclonal to CASP12.Inactive caspase-12 (CASP12) belongs to the peptidase C14A family and has no protease activity. Itmay reduce cytokine release in response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide during infections. It alsoreduces activation of NF-kappa-B in response to TNF. The variant Arg-125 (Csp12-L) of CASP12 mayincrease the susceptibility to sever sepsis, and may also increase the mortality rate in sepsis patients.
