Rabbit polyclonal to HDAC4.Histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) deacetylates lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the corehistones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) . Histone deacetylation produces a tag for epigenetic repression andplays a role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. HDAC4does not bind DNA directly but through transcription factors MEF2C and MEF2D.
