Rabbit polyclonal to BMP3.Bone morphogenetic protein 3 (BMP3) is a secreted protein that belongs to the TGF-beta superfamily.BMP3 is expressed in adult and fetal cartilage and is highly expressed in fracture tissue, particularly inosteoblasts, osteoclasts and chondroblasts. BMP3 negatively regulates bone density by antagonizingthe ability of certain osteogenic BMPs to induce osteoprogenitor differentitation and ossification.
