Description
Rabbit polyclonal to SMARCAL1.SMARCAL1 is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins. It is an ATP-dependent annealinghelicase that catalyzes the rewinding of the stably unwound DNA. It rewinds single-stranded DNAbubbles that are stably bound by replication protein A. SMARCAL1 works to re-anneal stablyunwound DNA throughout the genome, essentially performing the opposite reaction of enzymes thatunwind DNA, such as helicases and polymerases.
