Background:
Prefoldin Subunit 4 (PFDN4) is a heterohexameric chaperone protein that belongs to the prefoldin subunit beta family. The complex of PFDN4, consisting of two PFD-alpha type and four PFD-beta type subunits, forms a double beta barrel assembly with six protruding coiled-coils.
