IOX3 (FG-2216) is a potent, orally bioavailable HIF-prolyl hydroxylase (PHD) inhibitor with IC50 of 3.9 µM for PDH2 enzyme. It has been shown to reversibly stimulate erythropoietin secretion at 100 µM in vitro.
