Purity
This affinity purified antibody is directed against the mouse LDB1protein. The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest reactivity with this protein from mouse, human, chimpanzee, dog, frog, chicken and rat based on 100% homology for the immunogen sequence. Cross reactivity with LDB1 homologues from other sources has not been determined.

Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Applications Notes
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, western blot and CHIP. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 43 kDa in size corresponding to LDB1 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. This antibody has been used in a ChIP assay using murine erythroleukemia (MEL) cells. The test sequence was the upstream enhancer of the GATA-1 gene; a putative LDB1 binding region as suggested by Orkin et al. Anti-LDB1 was used successfully in ChIP assays to precipitate a roughly 4-fold enrichment at the GATA1-HS1 enhancer element in DMSO-induced murine erythroleukemia cells. We suggest using 20μg for 10E8 cells for ChIP.
