Specificity
This antibody binds human toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7). It also cross reacts with monkey TLR7. It is an endosomal receptor that plays a key role in innate and adaptive immunity. It also controls host immune response against pathogens through recognition of uridine-containing single strand RNAs (ssRNAs) of viral origin or guanosine analogs. TLR7 is considered to be a useful marker in indicating pathological condition of autoimmune diseases.
