Casein Kinase I alpha (Phospho-Tyr294) Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

  • Description:

The Casein Kinase I alpha (Phospho-Tyr294) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor Casein Kinase I alpha (Phospho-Tyr294) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of Casein Kinase I alpha (Phospho-Tyr294) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Casein Kinase I alpha (Phospho-Tyr294) .
  • Synonyms:

    Casein kinase I isoform alpha; CKI-alpha;2.7.11.1; CK1; CSNK1A1
  • Gene Name:

    CSNK1A1
  • UniProt:

    P48729
  • Reactivity:

    Human, Mouse, Rat
  • Applications:

    ELISA
  • Detection Range:

    > 5000 cells/well
  • Function:

Casein kinases are operationally defined by their preferential utilization of acidic proteins such as caseins as substrates. It can phosphorylate a large number of proteins. Participates in Wnt signaling. Phosphorylates CTNNB1 at 'Ser-45'. May phosphorylate PER1 and PER2. May play a role in segregating chromosomes during mitosis (PubMed:11955436, PubMed:1409656, PubMed:18305108) . May play a role in keratin cytoskeleton disassembly and thereby, it may regulate epithelial cell migration (PubMed:23902688) .

  • Other Gene Names:

    Casein kinase I isoform alpha
  • Subcellular Location:

Cytoplasm. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome. Chromosome, centromere, kinetochore. Nucleus speckle. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cilium basal body. Localizes to the centrosome in interphase cells, and to kinetochore fibers during mitosis. Also recruited to the keratin cytoskeleton (PubMed:23902688) .
