GluR4 (Phospho-Ser862) Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit
Description:
The GluR4 (Phospho-Ser862) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor GluR4 (Phospho-Ser862) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of GluR4 (Phospho-Ser862) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on GluR4 (Phospho-Ser862) .Synonyms:

Receptor for glutamate that functions as ligand-gated ion channel in the central nervous system and plays an important role in excitatory synaptic transmission. L-glutamate acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter at many synapses in the central nervous system. Binding of the excitatory neurotransmitter L- glutamate induces a conformation change, leading to the opening of the cation channel, and thereby converts the chemical signal to an electrical impulse. The receptor then desensitizes rapidly and enters a transient inactive state, characterized by the presence of bound agonist. In the presence of CACNG4 or CACNG7 or CACNG8, shows resensitization which is characterized by a delayed accumulation of current flux upon continued application of glutamate.Molecular Weight:
