Description
The eIF4B (Phospho-Ser422) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor eIF4B (Phospho-Ser422) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of eIF4B (Phospho-Ser422) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on eIF4B (Phospho-Ser422) .
Synonyms
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4B; IF4B; eIF-4B
Gene Name
EIF4B

Cell lines
Detection Range
> 5000 cells/well
Function
Required for the binding of mRNA to ribosomes. Functions in close association with EIF4-F and EIF4-A. Binds near the 5'- terminal cap of mRNA in presence of EIF-4F and ATP. Promotes the ATPase activity and the ATP-dependent RNA unwinding activity of both EIF4-A and EIF4-F.
