Trabectedin

• Description :

  Trabectedin is a natural product originally isolated from the sea squirt, Ecteinascidia turbinata and is currently prepared synthetically. It interferes with transcription factors, DNA‐binding proteins, DNA repair pathways and shows potent antitumor activity. It suppresses the proliferation of Clear cell sarcoma cell lines with IC₅₀ values ranging from 0.30 nM-0.50 nM. It is approved for the treatment of unresectable or metastatic liposarcoma or leiomyosarcoma who received prior chemotherapy with an anthracycline.
