Sodium tauroursodeoxycholate

• Description :

  Tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) is a taurine-conjugated form of the secondary bile acid ursodeoxycholic acid. TUDCA is found in small quantities in human bile but at a higher concentration in the bile of black bears. It acts as an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress inhibitor. Tauroursodeoxycholate significantly reduces expression of apoptosis molecules, such as caspase-3 and caspase-12.
