Erwinia amylovora TaqMan Probe/Primer and Control Set

  • Description:

Detection kits for the Erwinia amylovora Available in TaqMan format for analysis Erwinia amylovora is a Gram negative, rod-shaped bacterium belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae. It was the first bacterium identified as a plant pathogen and was shown to be the causative agent of the necrotic disease fireblight. The most economically important hosts are apple and pear, however infection can occur in a range of other plants including Cotoneaster, Cratagus and Pyracantha. During severe disease outbreaks, the rapid spread of bacteria through host tissue can lead to the loss of entire trees in a single growing season. E. amylovora infection of blossom can greatly reduce crop yield and marketability. Fireblight is therefore a highly destructive disease and is of major economic concern to fruit growers world-wide. Erwinia amylovora TaqMan PCR Kit, 100 reactions Ready to use format, including Master Mix for the target and PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition and validate the quality Specific Primer and Probe mix for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Primer and Probe mix Positive and negative control to confirm the integrity of the kit reagents Erwinia amylovora TaqMan PCR Probe/Primer Set and Controls, 100 reactions Specific Primer/Probe mix and Positive Control for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Nuclease-free water Can be used together with Norgen’s PCR Master Mix (#28007) or customer supplied master mix For research use only and NOT intended for in vitro diagnostics.
