Anti-CD4 (GK1.5) In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin

  • Background:

CD4 (cluster of differentiation 4) is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of T helper cells, regulatory T cells, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. CD4 interacts with class II molecules of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) enhancing the signal for T-cell activation.
  • Specifications:

Anti-CD4 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin (GK1.5) recognizes an epitope on Mouse CD4
  • Product Name Alternative:

    T-cell differentiation antigen L3T4, T-cell surface antigen T4/Leu-3
  • UniProt:

    P06332
  • Host:

    Rat
  • Species Reactivity:

    Mouse
  • Target:

    CD4

    GK1.5
  • Applications:

Western Blot, Blocking, Flow Cytometry, IHC (Frozen), Immunoprecipitation
  • Purification Method:

This monoclonal antibody was purified using Protein G
  • Concentration:

    ≥ 2.0 mg/mL

    ICH3001-100mL ICH3002-100mL ICH3003-100mL
  • Shipping Conditions:

    Blue ice
  • Storage Conditions:

Anti-CD4 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin (GK1.5) is stable for at least one week when stored sterile at 2-8°C. For long term storage aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
  • Formulation:

0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2, 150 mM NaCl with no carrier protein, potassium or preservatives added.
  • Antigen Distribution:

The L3T4 antigen is expressed by the helper/inducer subset of mouse T-cells. The antigen is present on approximately 80% of thymocytes, 20% of spleen cells and 60% of lymph node cells. The expression of L3T4 correlates with class II MHC antigen reactivity on cloned T-cell lines.
  • Aggregation:

    Aggregation level ≤ 5%
  • Applications Notes:

Blocking: Anti-Mouse CD4 (clone GK1.5) is useful for In vitro and In vivo studies of T-helper cell functions including blocking of ligand binding and T-helper cell activation. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.
