Description
Expression of Bcl-2 alpha oncoprotein inhibits the programmed cell death (apoptosis) . In most follicular lymphomas, neoplastic germinal centers express high levels of bcl-2 alpha protein, whereas the normal or hyperplastic germinal centers are negative. Consequently, this antibody is valuable when distinguishing between reactive and neoplastic follicular proliferation in lymph node biopsies.

Reactivity
Human
Immunogen
Recombinant full-length human protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinant Bcl2 antibody.
Clonality
Recombinant
Clone
RBCL2/782
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Field of Research
Cell Biology
Purification
Protein G affinity chromatography
Dilution
Flow cytometry: 1-2ug/10^6 cells, Immunofluorescence: 1-2ug/ml, Western blot: 1-2ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE) : 1-2ug/ml for 30 min at RT
Storage Conditions
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes
For research use only.
Applications Notes
Optimal dilution of the recombinant Bcl2 antibody should be determined by the researcher.1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
