beta-Amyloid Precursor Protein (APC)

• Storage Conditions:

  Store product at 4 degree C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.

• Specificity:

  Recognizes human Amyloid Precursor Protein. Reactivity has been confirmed with APLP2 (amyloid precursor-like protein 2)-/-knock-out and wildtype mouse brain homogenates and APP695 C99 (C-terminal fragment)-transfected HEK293 cell lysates by Western Blot. Negative control tests with APP-/-knock-out and APP/APLP2 double knock-out mice have confirmed the specificity of this antibody; neither of the target bands were identified in these test samples. Reactivity has also been confirmed with human Alzheimer's brain tissue by immunohistochemistry. Species Crossreactivity: mouse.
