Cortisol (APC)

• Storage Conditions:

  May be stored at 4 degree C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Allophycocyanin (APC) is light sensitive.

• Specificity:

  Recognizes Cortisol-BSA conjugate and free cortisol. Does not crossreact with BSA. Contaminants (50% displacement of cortisol-3-125-Iodine): Corticosterone: 20%; 17-Hydroxyprogesterone: 0%
