- Gene Name: [IVL]
- NCBI Gene ID: 3713
- Reactivity: Canine, Human, Porcine
- Storage Conditions: Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. - Specificity: Recognizes human Involucrin. Epitope: codon 421-568 of human Involucrin at ~66-170kD. Species Crossreactivity: Gorilla, Owl monkey, Porcine, and Canine. Does not react with mouse. In Western Blot of cultured human keratinocytes, reacts with a 120kD protein. It stains the involucrin in a variety of sizes: 170kD in MCF-7 cells, a doublet of ~115kD and 150kD in gorilla and owl monkey, 66kD in canine and a doublet of 105kD in porcine.
