• Relevance: This inhibitory fragment, released from native ITI after limited proteolysis with trypsin, contains two homologous domains. Whereas the second domain is a strong inhibitor of trypsin, the first domain interacts weakly with PMN-granulocytic elastase and not at all with pancreatic elastase.
