Background:
Niclosamide is part of the anthelmintics drug class, which are used to treat tapeworm infections in humans. Niclosamide has been shown to selectively inhibit the Stat-3 signalling pathway, specifically by inhibiting its activation, nuclear translocation and transcriptional activity. It has also been reported that Niclosamide inhibits mTORC1, thereby inducing autophagy and increasing the formation of autophagosomes.Description:
