    4-CPPC is a potent, reversible and selective small molecule inhibitor of the pro-inflammatory protein macrophage migration inhibitory factor-2 (a.k.a. MIF-2 or D-DT) (IC50 = 27 µM). 4-CPPC displays17-fold selectivity for MIF-2 versus MIF-1. MIF-2 is member of the MIF cytokine superfamily.
