Description
TSG101 (tumor susceptibility gene 101) is a protein that is widely involved in various cellular processes. Initially identified in association with tumor susceptibility, TSG101 has been found to play multiple functions within the cell. It localizes to the cell membrane and endoplasmic reticulum and is involved in endoplasmic reticulum formation and regulation of the cytoplasmic lysosome. Additionally, TSG101 paRoom Temperatureicipates in intracellular trafficking, membrane flow, and cell division. In the context of exosome research, TSG101, along with the Alix protein, contributes to exosome biogenesis and release, facilitating vesicle formation and secretion.
