Thermostable Inorganic Pyrophosphatase
- Description: Thermostable inorganic pyrophosphatase was purified from recombinant E. coli strain, carrying the inorganic pyrophosphatase gene cloned from the extremely heat-resistant Thermococcus litoralis. Thermostable Inorganic Pyrophosphatase catalyzes the hydrolysis of inorganic pyrophosphate to form orthophosphate: P2O74-+H2O+PPase→2HPO42-. This enzyme has 100% activity when heated at 100°C for 4 h, so it can be used in PCR reaction to remove the inhibition of inorganic pyrophosphate on PCR and enhance DNA replication. Under natural conditions, PPase can provide thermodynamic power for the biosynthesis of protein, RNA and DNA, and play a role in lipid metabolism, calcium absorption and other biotransformation processes. Main uses of this product: increase the production of transcribed RNA in vitro, increase the production of DNA in PCR reactions, remove PPi contaminants in the reagents used for SNP genotyping by pyrophosphate assay, etc.
