Apyrase is an Nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase (NTPDase) . Apyrase can hydrolyze extracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP) . Apyrase can inhibit Stx2 toxin release of enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) infection and protect the intestinal barrier function.
